I have contracted with Tim Knepp for many years on multiple projects of varying scales (from illustrations for flat graphics, to interpretive exhibit wall murals, to animal exhibit mural habitat scenes, to digital artwork for computer interactives). He has great skill in creating beautiful and detailed art of the natural world with scientific accuracy.

He is wonderfully pleasant to work with, listens well to the client, and incorporates the client's subtle verbal or written descriptions into vivid artwork, and when needed he will offer helpful suggestions to make the final product serve the audience better.

We hired Tim Knepp to paint the kitchen walls of our historical Victorian in downtown Lancaster, PA. We requested it be reminiscent of "an old Italian villa" and Tim did an incredible job faux painting the walls to give them a rustic, weathered, and water-stained Tuscany-style finish, so that our kitchen would have the warm, cozy "wine cellar" feel we desired. Tim is the consummate professional and he's fun to work with. We asked him to teach us the method he used so that we could work alongside of him, and he did so, with patience, precision, and skill. The walls were an intricate process, and turned out amazing. We are very impressed with Tim's work ethic. "I have been told my talent was evident at a very early age.

At the age of ten I was awarded a five year scholarship to the Carnegie Institute in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania at the Tam-O-Shanter Art Studies where I acquired skills and techniques for drawing and painting. I continued my education in art during my first year in college at Penn State University. Also having a strong interest in architecture, I decided to transfer to Kent State University for the next four years studying both Architecture and the fine arts. After my education I worked for a major architectural agency producing renderings for prominent buildings and landscapes in the Washington D.C. area. I also continued my interests in the fine arts as an illustrator and soon realized what I enjoyed the most. My work consists of murals, decorative finishes, and fine art."
